Step 1 — RESEARCH
KSA Interior Design (ID) takes on each project with a clean-slate approach, learning every unique detail and design constraint in order to create the most effective design for your space.
Our research process always begins with a client meeting. We will clarify the needs versus the wants, make note of the client’s vision for the space(s), and verify budgeting constraints.
Once the outline for the project has been initiated, our team will take a holistic analysis of the job to see how design parameters like Universal Design can be utilized to improve the space’s usability. We will also research design styles and aesthetics that suit the client’s wishes. Once these things have been thoroughly analyzed, visual design elements like mood boards and color palettes can begin to form.
We then combine all ideas and inspiration together to create an overall concept for each project. The concept will carry us through the other phases of design, influencing decisions and guiding our progress along the way. Throughout the entirety of the design process, we make it a priority to stay true to the concepts you envision for your space.
Step 2 — MATERIAL SELECTIONS
After a design idea is put into place and approved by the owner, KSA ID dives into Material Selection and Presentation to ensure the client is on the same page throughout the process.
In this stage, we focus heavily on the quality of materials and finishes, cost versus value, and durability requirements. In every project, these needs vary heavily. From our research in the previous phase, we are able to confidently select products that will best suit the project’s overall intentions while supporting the users within it.
This phase also includes another client meeting to discuss the selections and finish options. One of the best ways for KSA ID to accurately depict our designs to the client is through realistic 3D renderings of the interior (and exterior) of the space. Along with physical samples for the client to touch and feel for themselves, our methods ensure the client is fully in the loop for the entirety of the design process.
Step 3 — INSTALL / Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E)
KSA ID follows your project through to final walk-throughs and furniture installation, so we are a resource to you for the entirety of the project. From furniture layouts to final touches and accessories, KSA ID will bring your space to life.
While finish selections and floor plans are an important part of what we provide to our clients, our job doesn’t end there. We stay involved throughout the construction process, making regular site visits and check-ins with the client to ensure everything is running smoothly.
