KSA Gives a Warm Welcome to Anna Palumbo!

Welcome Anna!

Meet KSA’s newest Interior Designer!

Anna is the newest member of our Interior Design department, and we are oh-so-happy to have her. Anna is a Pennsylvania local who moved to Nashville around six (6) years ago with her husband and three (3) children. She enjoys pottery classes on the weekends, cheering on the Eagles, and has a passion for learning. Anna is also an adjunct Professor at O'More College of Architecture and Design at Belmont University.

Anna was ready to start something new and challenging and decided to get a second degree in Interior Design. With her artistic eye and love for color and design, it was an easy choice. After starting her own firm, Anna decided that being in an office environment was more her speed. Here at KSA, she creates functional, safe, and beautiful spaces by selecting finishes, lighting, and other materials. If she’s not at the office, you can find her exploring (walking) around Nashville.

What’s one ‘Fun-Fact’ about yourself?

I don’t have a middle name!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I take a pottery class every Saturday morning. I also like reading, drinking wine, hiking, painting with watercolors, knitting, and riding my bike.

What fictional place would you like to visit?

Either Dr. Who’s TARDIS, or the Air Bending Nation from Avatar: The Last Airbender (even though I would be a fire bender 🔥).

Okay, on a more serious note… What got you into the world of Interior Design?

The biggest reason I am where I am today is that when my husband and I sold our first house, I staged it, and our realtor afterward said that many people asked if an interior designer lived in the house. I had never even thought about doing something like that for my career. I was ready to do something new, so I went back to college for the second time for a degree in Interior Design. What I thought was just my artistic eye and my love for color and making things aesthetically pleasing was an innate design talent.

What’s your favorite design style?

Mid-Century Modern. I love that furniture designers of that time challenged the ideas of what furniture was supposed to look like and created works of functional art, like my pottery.

…And least favorite?

I really hope that velvet paintings from the 70’s and 80’s do NOT EVER come back into style.
